The Gateway Water Management Authority (“Los Angeles Gateway Region Integrated Regional Water Managment Joint Powers Authority”) is an agency made up of cities and agencies within the Gateway region of Southeastern Los Angeles County serving more than 2 million people. These entities and stakeholders are interested in developing an Integrated Regional Water Management Plan (“IRWMP”) because they have common water quality, water supply and storm runoff problems and issues. They are also demographically similar. These common traits provide a unique opportunity to jointly find common, integrated, and coordinated solutions for the region’s water related issues through the IRWMP process.
